Of course it is frustrating, but since it's the beginning, there is very little you can make except trying to stay alert. It's normal that you haven't adjusted yet. Ok, so let's get this straight : You're only at the very beginning of this game. The bosses go ape shit at 1/3 health, and you really gotta just be super patient til they do that one attack with the longest opening. So when he does the rolling lightning, I jump in the air, then start attacking just to stay airborn and avoid the lightning.Īs to the "I get him down to 1/3," that's going to happen throughout the game. Like, Jump, start attacking, and the attack animation stops me from falling back down. For the Sodden Knight, I like having a weapon I can suspend myself in the air while attacking. But there are "superior" weapon move sets for various bosses. Eventually you'll get Tower Shields which take VERY little stamina to block with. I recommend dropping the shield and going with light armor to roll better. I was so frustrated when she was, "Oh.you haven't seen _ yet? It's super cool!" She beat the Knight in like.an hour or so. When I first got the game I went Sword/Shield and the wife went daggers. Good luck on your quest, please don't give up! Otherwise, just do what I suggested: go under 25% equip and learn the boss patterns, that's the most satisfying way to play. So, if you want to chees the game at all costs, restart and pick up a mage, then pick up a greatsword and transmute to a magic scaling one. I used them on my first playthorugh, they are op but you can't get one of them before the first boss. Another way is to use heavy weapons: greatswords, greathammers, greataxes. I never did it, but people say magic is the easy mode in this game. To answer your main question, though, there are ways to make the game easier other than farming. If you are not using a heavy weapon or shield, you should be able to wear three pieces of the rogue set at less than 25% equip load, level endurance a level or two if you can't. One suggestion is to stay under 25% equip load because that way you have the best dodge roll, unequip the shield if necessary. You have to learn how the game works otherwise you'll have trouble for your whole playthrough or you'll find yourself farmin and overleveling/powerplaying which defeats the concept of the game.
